Unveiling Talent X Tech with Sital

Conversations on the future of work – through the lens of talent, tech and transformation.

I speak with business executives, HR leaders, and tech experts about how emerging technologies like AI, automation, quantum, and  new media are shaping careers, leadership, talent management and the way we work.

Season 1 features 10 weekly episodes with voices from across Asia Pacific, including several current and former Microsoft leaders (where I spent the last decade).

And yes, I’m wearing the same blue Marks & Spencer jacket in every episode – a quiet reminder of where I started my career (at that other MS) and a small act of simplicity.

The guests change. The stories change. One jacket, many conversations.

For Season 2 – we’ll mix things up a bit.

Why I Started the Podcast

The Journey Behind Talent X Tech with Sital

There are plenty of “futurists” out there. I’ve always seen myself more as a student of the history of work.

I grew up in Birmingham, UK — not far from the birthplace of the First Industrial Revolution. School trips to places like the Black Country Living Museum brought to life how work shifted from farms to coal mines to factories. That early curiosity stuck.

Since then, we’ve lived through the Second and Third Industrial Revolutions — from mass production to computing and the information age.

Now we’re entering the Fourth Industrial Revolution, what many call the intelligence age — with AI, automation, quantum computing, and emerging tech transforming how we live and work.

During my decade at Microsoft, I saw the transformative impact of cloud computing firsthand. I didn’t learn about it in a classroom — I learned mainly through conversations and interviews. I was fortunate to see some of the early AI work – AI for Good projects still inspire me today.

I’ve always learned best by talking to people.

After 25+ years in leadership and recruiting — and a few thousand interviews later — I realised how much I enjoy asking questions, connecting dots, and getting people to open up. The best insights often don’t come from theory. They come from people at the coalface (pun intended).

Back in 2018, I decided I’d start a podcast on the future of work. A space to keep learning, and maybe help others learn too.

Then life happened. Work took over. Then Covid.
When remote work became the norm, I thought: “That’s one of the trends I wanted to explore… why didn’t I start?”

So here I am.

The Talent X Tech Podcast is my way of catching up. It’s a learning journey through honest conversations with business leaders, HR professionals, founders, and experts building what’s next.

Podcasting is new to me. I’m learning as I go. Making mistakes. Challenging my perfectionist streak. And just giving it a go.

Because here’s what’s already clear about the future of work:

  • We all need to keep learning and re-learning.
  • We need to try new things, even when it’s uncomfortable.
  • And we need to stop chasing perfect — and just start.

So here I am. Giving it a go. Pushing through procrastination.
Outside my comfort zone (video, anyone?!).

Hope you’ll join me. 🦋
